Discounts are available on iPads and various Accessories from the Apple Store. You can either purchase through the 'Apple Education Store' tab on this website, or in-store at the Castle Towers Apple Store, just mention that your child is a student at St Bernadette's.
Discounts for Chromebooks will be available through the Chromebook Store Portal
How will my child's device be kept secure during school?
The iPads and Chromebooks will be kept in the Child's tubs during school hours. Before and after school and during recess and lunch the rooms will be locked.
How will you ensure my Child's safety when they are browsing the internet?
At St Bernadette's we use an Internet safety filter called ZScaler which is managed by the Catholic Education Office. This service blocks explicit, unsafe, non-educational websites and apps from being used while at school.
As well as this, the Child's use of the iPad will be closely monitored by their Classroom teachers.
Do I need to provide a case?
We strongly recommend a good quality case that will cover the entire device including the screen.
Is my child able to have their own Apple ID?
Children under 13 can't create an Apple ID on their own. However, a parent or legal guardian can provide verified parental consent for a child to have their own Apple ID, then create it on the child’s behalf.
If this is the case, we recommend using Family Sharing to control access and app purchases. Please see this link for more details - https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT201060
